These single-walled carbon nanotubes form a robust network within the silicon anode, mitigating anode degradation. This breakthrough allows, for the first time, lithium-ion battery manufacturers to incorporate record-high amounts of silicon into batteries, achieving ideal energy densities while simultaneously enabling fast-charging capabilities.
